“Yatin has extensive commercial skills, strategically focused on identifying and understanding consumer, customer and supplier needs in the branded, retail brand and licensed categories across all trade channels. His astute financial acumen along with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of success across global markets will greatly benefit Bombay Halwa as we enter a new phase,” she said.

“His appointment is also essential for our strategic journey to take the business to the next level. We look forward to his diverse thinking and strategic steering of Bombay Halwa in the months ahead and take the company to new heights of growth and professionalism.”

Royal Sweets was formed in the early 1900s in Mumbai (India) and soon became a household name. In 1973 the first British factory was opened to manufacture the Royal brand of sweets in Britain and today it is the largest manufacturer of Indian sweets in the UK.

Under the firm, a dedicated flight kitchen was opened to serve the Aviation Catering industry in 1982. In 2004, a brand new purpose-built 20,000 sq ft flight kitchen was commissioned and approved by the UK Halal Food Authority.
