To celebrate the achievement of winning two Oscars, the minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur, will be organising a special screening of the award-winning films, ‘RRR’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, for Members of Parliament in Delhi next week.

The screening is expected to take place at the Bal Yogi Auditorium in Parliament, and according to sources familiar with the development, the event may also include a felicitation ceremony to honour the artists and crew involved in the making of both films.

In fact, Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of blockbuster films such as ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR’, is a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha.

The acclaimed film ‘RRR’ received an Oscar award for its ‘Naatu Naatu’ song, while the short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ also won an Oscar at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

This monumental achievement marked a historic day for Indian filmmakers and audiences alike.

The music for the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song was composed by M M Keeravaani, with lyrics written by Chandrabose. Prior to winning the prestigious Oscar award, the song had already received recognition on the global stage, having previously won awards.

Besides, it had even won the Golden Globe award for ‘Best Original Song’ in January.

Additionally, at the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards, ‘RRR’ received two additional awards, one for ‘Best Song’ and the other for ‘Best Foreign Language Film’.
